The ABC Music & Me program with Kindermusik instructors and curriculum uses music, stories and movement to prepare children

for educational opportunites.  Instructor Nancy Knauf, along with Newport (KY) Schools approached our foundation for funding.  After a successful pilot program, the curriculum was implemented in the Newport Primary School preschool classes for the 2014-15 school year.  Embraced by Newport Primary's preschool teachers, students visit Knauf's classroom for activities centered around music and literacy that will better prepare them for kindergarten. Veteran teacher Kate Neikirk, who joins her classes in Knauf's classroom, sees the benefits of this program as the students further develop skills that will assist their success at the next level.

This past year was filled with contributions that directly helped organizations and individuals within the Northern Kentucky

and Cincinnati area. The Clyde N. Day Foundation continues to support organizations, initiatives and individuals like the Newport Primary School as they pursue excellence.
